In recent years, a lot of people have been putting their guinea pigs in C&C cages. This sort of cavy cage is preferred over manufactured pet store cages for several reasons.
1. Standard pet store guinea pig cages tend to be too small and larger manufactured cages are difficult to find.
2. If you can find them, large manufactured cages can be extremely expensive.
2. C&C cages are an economical alternative to pet store cages.
3. The C&C cavy cage gives your pigs lots of room to exercise and for comfort.
C&C cages are constructed from from metal grids and Coroplast plastic.
The first C in C&C stands for "cubes" and that refers to the storage cubes which are usually built from these metal grids. The second c stands for "Coroplast". Coroplast is the plastic material used to make the litter bins in the C&C cavy cage.
